Importance of Relationships in business

Congratulations if you have started your own business or best of luck if you are planning to start it.

What is that most important thing that an entrepreneur must have so that the business can run very quickly ? Let’s answer this question by observing the following case study of two chefs.

There are two chefs Peter and Nathan .Observe these lines :

1) Both are good at making Noodles recipies.

2) Peter makes dishes better than Nathan and knows more number of recipies .

3) Nathan has 10 friends while Peter has none .

4) Nathan took loan from his 10 friends without any intrest rate while Peter took loan from nearby bank at rate of 3% .

5) Both guys opened their shops in a populated area where people loves fast food .

At first for few days , as usual there were no huge crowd on both shops . But then Peter observed that no customer was coming on his shop and almost every one was going on Nathan’s shop . He knew that he makes food better than Nathan but as no customers were coming , he got really depressed . He was not able to pay the return along with intrest and soon got into the DEPT TRAP due to which he , sadly , sold his shop. While Nathan on the other hand was making real money . He paid off the loan he took from his 10 friends . Best for Nathan and worst for Peter was going on.

Now, you might be thinking what could be the reason of failure for Peter and Success for Nathan even though Peter had more skills? So Let’s try to understand this .

First take point number 2 which shows that Peter is having more skills . Now consider point number 3 which tells Nathan has more relations and connections as friends than Peter . From here only , the game starts . Now read carefully . Relationship and trust are the most important things in business . Nathan had both the things with him while Peter was having nothing of the two .

Technique of Nathan : Nathan had 10 friends . His loan was without any rate . He used his friends as the free promoters of his shop . How ? He told all his friends of friends to come to his shop regularly for 1 to 2 months . When they come to his shop , they take selfies , photographs of food and upload them on social media . Furthermore , they bring their more friends to his shop . By this idea , Nathan had 70 to 100 fixed free promoters everyday for his shop for 2 months . When other people saw that Nathan ‘s shop had so many customers , they also began to come to his shop . People from social media also came to his shop . Since Peter was not following such strategy , his shop was having no customer and people didn’t find it much attractive as that of Nathan . In this way , Nathan got success .

So what you understood from the above case study?1) Relationship , connections and trust are the most important things. 2) In the competitive world , there is no concept of “Don’t judge a book by its cover ” . As you see Nathan was less skillful than Peter but still got success as he did the promotion , branding and representation of his product up to the mark while Peter did nothing . Peter was better at making recipies but failed to attract the customers .

The quality of product comes very later . The first comes its branding and representation . This is the major technique of nearly all good companies to set their name in the mind of their customers . You can’t make a perfect product but you can do its branding and representation as much as you can.

I am not saying not to learn any skill . If you got success in attracting customers but failed to provide the quality then you will get failures . In our case , Nathan was having skills though less than Peter but a creativity and great mind gave him success.

For such type of work , your mind needs to be very active and creative . So work on it . Meditation is must . Keep yourself healthy . Bye.
